to inch closer to the semi-finals in the

Women's World T20

Group 'B' match on Thursday.

Set to chase 108 runs in 20 overs, England managed to reach the target on the final ball of the innings with just one wicket to spare.

Skipper Charlotte Edwards and her opening partner Tammy Beaumont got together in a 59-run opening partnership after which the middle-order suffered a col apse. Towards the end, the lower-order just scraped their way to a win with Natalie Sciver remaining not out at 19. Earlier, West Indies rode on contributions from Stafanie Taylor, Shaquana Quintyne and Deandra Dottin to post the eventual total.
