We were lucky to pull it off, says Harris
AHMEDABAD: This is one character who can't be easily ruffled. Chris Harris is the most jovial and lively captains in the Indian Cricket League. His sense of humour and ability to tide over difficult moments has made the New Zealander a big hit with the spectators.
The 39-year-old made 12 and then took two for 17 off three overs to lead World XI to a 12-run victory over Bangladesh XI, here on Sunday night.

"It was a great win to get under our belt. With the teams playing each other just once, every win will count,'' said Harris while adding that they were a bit lucky to pull it off.
"The Bangladesh side is a very dangerous customer as we saw in the Indian Championship. With a bit of luck, they could have run us even close. We were lucky to get a couple of wickets when it was needed," he said.
Asked about the turning point of the match, the Hyderabad Heroes' skipper said: "There were a couple of key moments in the match. However, I feel that getting four wickets in the space of three runs helped us."
Bashar rues loss
For Bangladesh skipper it was another loss which shouldn't have been. "We messed it up a bit in the middle. We lost too many wickets and that pegged our charge," he said.
Looking at the positives, he said: "The bowlers did a great job to restrict the strong World XI to 167 and then the lower order took us within striking distance.
"It was heartening to see guys like (Mohammed) Rafique, (Mosharraf) Hossain and (Tapash) Baisya get runs. This is a very heartening thing."
