MUMBAI: A classy unbeaten 106 by former India opener Wasim Jaffer enabled Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) to pile up a healthy 294-5 on Day One of their three-day Times Shield Div-A Round Two match against Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) at the Mumbai Cricket Association's Bandra facility on Monday.
IOCL won the toss and elected to bat on a wicket notoriously renowned to favour batsmen.
And, according to script, IOCL batsmen kept contributing with cameos and when umpires called it a day, IOCL had managed to a put up a commanding 294-5 in 79 overs.
Jaffer's unbeaten knock was constructed over 175 balls and was decorated with two sixes and 12 boundaries.
