Parthiv Patel misses out despite prolific season

AHMEDABAD: "It is really demoralizing for a player if he or she is not selected despite some good performances. Parthiv (Patel) has scored more than 1000 runs this season, getting runs in all format of the game, he has brilliant behind the stumps as well. But I don't understand why he is not even among the 30 probables the BCCI announced for the Champions Trophy," said state Ranji coach and former Gujarat captain Mukund Parmar.
Parthiv scored 1176 runs (895 runs in the Ranji Trophy, 158 in Vijay Hazare, 51 in Duleep Trophy and 72 in Deodhar Trophy) in the domestic first class season this year against Karthik's 774 (577 runs in Ranji Trophy, 119 in Vijay Hazare and 78 in Deodhar Trophy) and Saha's 786 (558 runs in Ranji Trophy, 151 runs in Vijay Hazare and 77 in Deodhar Trophy).
