VADODARA: Baroda reached 239 for four in their second innings at the end of the third day's play of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group match after conceding the first innings lead to Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
At stumps, R Solanki (60) and S Gaekwad (28) were at the crease.
Earlier, resuming at the overnight score of 251 for eight, Uttar Pradesh added 35 valuable runs to take the first innings lead.

Pravin Kumar added 12 more runs to his overnight score of 38 before he was bowled by Irfan Pathan Jr.
Kumar's half century was studded with seven fours and a six. He was followed to the dressing room by S Tyagi, who was dismissed by S Veragi.
Irfan Pathan was the pick of the Baroda bowlers, taking six wickets for 85 runs.
Baroda began their second innings cautiously but skipper Connor Williams (12) yet again fell cheaply.
Satyajit Parab and A Bilakhia (42) added 100 runs for the second wicket before the former departed for 67. Parab played 100 balls and hit 11 fours.
Bilakhia followed soon after with the scoreboard reading 118. It was the fourth-wicket partnership of 50 runs between Solanki and P Shah (31) that steadied Baroda's innings.
