Shaquille O’Neal issues fiery response to Sophie Rain dating rumors after viral photo with model

Shaquille O'Neal has denied rumors that he is seeing model Sophie Rain in a harsh response to an influencer who made fun of him. When Rain, 21, posted a picture of herself and O'Neal, 53, standing together while out and about last month, rumors started to circulate. The Hall of Fame basketball superstar sought to correct the record with TikToker Noah Glenn Carter after the photo of Shaq at the 21st birthday of the model went viral.

Shaquille O'Neal said that he doesn't like dating young ladies and denied that he is romantically involved with model Sophie Rain. Last week, Rain shocked fans by sharing a photo of herself sitting on the 53-year-old basketball legend's knee. The photo was taken during Rain's birthday celebration on a night out in Las Vegas.

Rain gave the photographer the finger as he posed in front of the former Los Angeles Lakers player, while O'Neal grinned broadly in the picture.

Rain commented on the photo, holding a drink and wearing a see-through outfit,

"Look who I met."

Internet users immediately started speculating about a possible romance between Shaq and the video maker, despite their vast age difference. After this, influencer Noeh Glenn Carter reportedly started the online rumors by posting a video about the rumors involving Rain and O'Neal.

Carter claimed in the video that the two are 32 years apart, which makes discussing a romance "a little awkward, especially when he's a 53-year-old showing up to a 21-year-old's birthday."




However, Shaq quickly responded to those comments, and put an end to the Rain rumour. He said:

"I don’t [date] that young but I will date your mom and give you a brother."

According to TMZ, O'Neal implied that the two were not dating in the comments section of a video of Carter. He then added:

"I was DJing at Encore Beach Club. She came to my party, dummy stop tryna create rumors, don't make me slap you dude."

O'Neal also reportedly sent Carter a few since-deleted remarks in an effort to further disassociate himself from the rumor mill. He said:

"Stop tryna create rumors, don't make me slap you dude… Your mom is hot, tell her to hit me on my sky, tell the pager."

To this, Carter replied:

“Now Shaq, I really don't want you to slap me because you would obliterate me… I'm not even gonna try and pretend like you wouldn't. I apologize to Shaq. I don't want that smoke…”

O'Neal has had to deny rumours about his dating life before, including when he attended the Christian influencer's birthday party. The Christian influencer went viral earlier this year after stating she made $50 million modelling.

A year ago, O'Neal denied being a part of a PDA-filled, viral image that was published on Instagram by Maria Ozuna Teachey. The picture featured Teachey and an unidentified man, who had a similar build like the former basketball player, embracing in front of a mirror.

Online rumors regarding the retired player's relationship status started to circulate after Teachey's social media followers thought the photo was of O'Neal. Following the social media commotion, O'Neal took to Instagram to clarify the situation and refute the portrayal of him




"Nope, not the kid," he said in response to Worldstar's post. O'Neal wrote:

“Trust me I’ll let yall know who my woman is, and by the way my woman name is Shaqrah.”

Hence, it can be concluded that none of the women were reportedly O'Neal's partners.
