According to a June report, he was the subject of a reported wire fraud investigation conducted by the FBI concerning gambling. Did Montana Yao blast Malik Beasley amid an FBI gambling investigation and a social media post?
Montana Yao, Malik Beasley's ex-wife, posted a number of Instagram stories that appear to be a reaction to his most recent post. On Monday, the
NBA player posted pictures of himself on Instagram. He captioned the post:
“The way I'm rewarded… well, that’s God's decision.”
Soon after this, his ex-wife seemingly took a jab at him by sharing a since-deleted statement on her Instagram story. She wrote:
“It always makes me laugh seeing a villain act like a victim… God doesn’t reward mean-hearted, scamming, fake, deceitful, malicious, selfish, con artists, cruel, lying, stealing, using, a** Mfs.. I’ll tell you that much. Man, I could keep going on that list but lemme stop...”
The post was made in response to Malik Beasley’s recent allegations.
According to ESPN, federal investigators are looking into his potential involvement in unlawful betting, gambling, and wire fraud.
As per the same source, the accusations are related to his 2023–2024 season with the Milwaukee Bucks. They reportedly paid particular attention to "unusually heavy betting interest on Beasley’s statistics" beginning in January 2024. The source further added that one or more major U.S. sportsbooks allegedly took notice of the action.

Steve Haney, the player’s attorney, told The Detroit News that the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York is in charge of the probe. As per the outlet, he further said:
“It’s a gambling investigation involving Malik. No criminal charges have been issued. It’s nothing but an investigation, and Malik is entitled to the presumption of innocence.”
Currently, the NBA is investigating whether Malik Beasley engaged in betting operations, which is prohibited by the league. The league forbids players from engaging in any kind of gambling, including game betting. He can be suspended or subject to worse repercussions if proven guilty.
