However, in one of the segments, the Chef decided to pop a question to the Olympic Gold Medalist. Esther asked, “Hot take - The Knicks are winning the 2026 NBA Championship.” With a smirk, Lee replied instantly, “That is so messy,” lifting a green thumbs-up card. Lee agreed with the popular opinion. Esther joined in to add to Lee’s statement, “I know, I know. I am just gonna say yes. Because we have to kind of.” She emphasized on how Lee has no other option than to agree, “Well YOU definitely have to.” The Olympic Gold Medalist could not control her laughter and finished the statement, “That is so messy but yeah we are just going to agree and move on.” The duo concluded the segment, “We love the Knicks. We are rooting for you.”



While it was just a few-second segment, it has left fans wondering. A fan with the username MickeyCoinSnatch stated, “Hmmmm, now why is that messy, and why does she specifically HAVE to agree…?” Several fans used OG Anunoby’s image to comment on the viral clip. One of them, named Vinod_R108, added a caption while using the image, “Messy? Why?”

In July 2025, during an interview with the Mirror US Sports, Suni Lee dismissed the rumors of her dating the New York Knicks star OG Anunoby. She exclusively stated, “we’re just friends, and I’m really good friends with a bunch of the guys on the Knicks team, like [Karl-Anthony Towns], and then also I’m really close to [Towns’ partner Jordyn Woods] as well, so it’s cool to see them doing their thing. Honestly, I just enjoy watching basketball, which is why I went to most of the games.”

Despite clearing the air, in one of her recent podcast appearances, she revealed her choice in men. The Olympic Gymnast is preferably into athletes. Such confessions across different podcasts and interviews have kept the rumors alive and now with the latest statement, fans have become more curious.
