The Bring It On star posted a snap of a heart-shaped card with an adorable message for Mom and Dad. The lovely message mentioned, “Dear Mommy and Daddy, happy Valentine’s Day. Thanks for celebrating Valentine’s Day. I have a gift for you, love Kaavia.” For Gabrielle Union and the Miami Heat star, their entire world revolves around daughter Kaavia James. The couple loves posting about their daughter on social media. For Gabrielle Union-Wade, the joy of motherhood did not come easy. The Hollywood actor had to experience the worst before embracing the bliss of motherhood via surrogacy in 2017. During an interview with Time magazine back in 2021, Gabrielle Union opened up on her infertility struggles and surrogacy journey. She said,“I had been through an adenomyosis diagnosis and more miscarriages than I could confidently count, and all I could do was nod. I was not ready to do that. I wanted the experience of being pregnant. To watch my body expand and shift to accommodate this miracle inside me.”“I also wanted the experience of being publicly pregnant. I would shake off the distrust society has for women who, for whatever reason—by choice or by nature—do not have babies. I had paid the cost of that for years, and I wanted something for it.”She revealed being down with adenomyosis and suffering multiple miscarriages before going ahead with surrogacy.
