Gabrielle Union has known Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, for a long time. They were close friends even before Stephen and Ayesha got married. The bond between them became evident in one of the Instagram lives during COVID. In 2020, Gabrielle, with her husband Dwayne Wade, was in a Live session with Stephen and Ayesha. While both couples were catching up, Gabrielle recalled an old moment from their lives. The actress gave out shocking advice to the NBA power couple with a hilarious reason behind it.

The actress first met the couple during a party and believed that they had no future due to their young age. She instead believed that just like the actress enjoyed her life, both Ayesha and Stephen should also enjoy their lives. However, recalling the moment during the Instagram Live, Gabrielle appreciated the kind of relationship that Stephen and Ayesha have sustained over the years. COVID had a lot of individuals trapped in their homes and trying out new things. Exploring one such aspect of social media, Gabrielle Union and her husband Dwayne Wade once got in an Instagram Live session with Stephen and Ayesha Curry. Both couples started catching up on their respective lives when Gabrielle suddenly recalled an old memory. This came right after Dwayne passed a comment on his wife, “She was a thot in ‘98.” Gabrielle added to this and stated, “I was. Listen, I enjoyed life. And that is the exact advice I gave Ayesha and young Steph at D. Wright’s 25th Birthday party.” The actress continued to reveal the advice she gave to the young couple, “I was like, 'You guys, the likelihood of this working out is very low. You should just break up now and have s*x with other people.’” Gabrielle clarified that her words might have been different at that time, but it was what she said.



The advice is a complete contrast to the kind of life Gabrielle has now with Dwayne. Both Dwayne and Gabrielle lead a happy life and are known for being one of the power couples within the league. Dwayne, in a lighthearted manner, changed the course of the discussion, stating how they are not the same anymore. Adding to it Gabrielle appreciated the consistency that Ayesha and Stephen have shown in the relationship and how they continue to maintain it even today. It seems like Gabrielle gave out the uncanny advice, looking at the young age of the couple back then and it was indeed a hilarious one when she looks back at it.

During the same live session, Gabrielle Union praised the kind of relationship that Stephen and Ayesha have nurtured over the years. She stated, “You guys were unicorns. Literally, there have been very few people that I have met who have been consistent. I have known you guys for over a decade.” The actress proudly stated that when people ask her if she has met anyone consistent, she talks about this couple.
