Hollywood star Ben Affleck reveals hilariously awkward encounter with Luka Doncic after blockbuster NBA trade

In just a few years of joining the NBA, Luka Doncic made a name for himself. The Los Angeles Lakers star has become quite popular among the veterans of other professions as well. Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, in one of his recent public appearances, narrated a hilarious yet awkward incident that involved the Slovenian athlete right after the blockbuster trade. Ben attended one of the Lakers’ games along with his son, who apparently loved the interaction between his father and the athlete.

Ben revealed the story while appearing in one of the recent episodes of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The American actor attended the show with one of his co-workers, Matt Damon. The episode was released on January 13, 2026. Ben’s narration of the incident left everyone in splits.

Ben Affleck narrates funny incident involving Luka Doncic

Ben Affleck took his son Samuel to a Los Angeles Lakers’ game in the month of February 2025. It was right after Luka Doncic was traded from the Dallas Mavericks. Ben started narrating the incident. He stated, “I went to a Lakers’ game with my son last year. It was Luka’s, I think first or second game he was playing after the trade.” The actor continued, “I was pretty honored because he did come crashing at me into the stands, knocked into the guy sitting next to me, spilled all of his beer on me.”


The American actor then went on to explain the way Luka was standing in front of him, which was quite awkward. Ben described it by censoring it hilariously. He explained, “He was positioned in a way towards me where his big, main, least attractive part was right in my face.” the description left everyone in splits. Towards the end, the actor added, “I think they got some photos of that. My son loved it.” This is not the first time Ben has attended a Lakers’ game. Often the actor has been spotted enjoying games with his son or co-workers, occupying the front row at the games.

Former Boston Celtics champion makes bold claim on Luka Doncic

In the recent episode of the No Fouls Given podcast, former Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce made a rather bold statement on Luka Doncic. The NBA legend wanted to make a point about maintaining balance on both ends of the floor during a game. Paul stated, “I don’t think you can be the best player in the league without playing both sides of the ball. Yeah, you will win an MVP. But I don’t think you will be considered the best player in the league.”

He further added, “If we started seeing Luka rev it up on the defensive end like right now we would be talking about him being the best in the league.”
