MUMBAI: The Board Of Appeal (BOA) of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) on Friday completely overturned the nine meeting suspension given to Richard Hughes by the stewards of the club for foul riding in a case of elbowing jockey S Zervan in the Morellato by Gitanjali Lifestyle Million, run on January 1.
The Irish rider has been only fined Rs one lakh for improper riding after the BOA heard him during a meeting on Friday.

This will allow Hughes to ride in the Zoom Indian Oaks on Sunday.
Stewards had suspended Hughes and had disqualified his mount runner-up Star Trainer, for foul riding when the Irish rider had apparently elbowed jockey S Zervan, rider of Elizabeth who finished seventh.
