YMCA
Robertson Hall here on Wednesday.
In the women's singles quarterfinal, Vidushi squeezed past Sapna Sharma 4-3 to enter the semis. Pooja Sharma of Mumbai, Jaipur's Ritija Das and Vandana Singh of Gwalior recorded easy wins over their respective rivals to seal last-four berth.
In the team championship, AG Mumbai will lock horns with AG Rajkot. It was the first time that AG Mumbai qualified for the inter-zonal upsetting defending champions AG Jaipur 3-1. AG Nagpur went down to last year's runners-up AG Rajkot 1-3.
Earlier, CP K Venkatesham inaugurated the tourney. Principal director regional training institute Jaydeep Shah, senior deputy AG SS Kalpande, deputy AG Vishal Chawre, deputy AG Beju Joseph, welfare officer SG Singewar, senior account officer HT Gondole, AGRC president PG Narsikar and AGRC secretary Ram Andani were present on the occasion.
On Thursday, semifinals and finals of the individual category will be played. The team championship final will also be played on Thursday.

Women's singles (Quarterfinals): Pooja Sharma (Mumbai) bt Anita Modi (Jaipur) 4-0; Ritija Das (Jaipur) bt Meena Bodole 4-0; Vandana Singh (Gwalior) bt SS Solanki (Rajkot) 4-1; Vidushi Vatsa (Nagpur) bt Sapna Sharma 4-3.
Veterans: Rajesh Anand (Jaipur) bt PM Thakkar (Rajkot) 3-1; ST Dahiwase (Gwalior) bt UM Rangari (Nagpur) 3-0;
