Arpinder, Sandeep win gold

BANGALORE: ONGC's Arpinder Singh took the title in men's triple and Sandeep claimed the honours in 400m for HPCL as the battle for pole position continued with both the PSUs picking up three gold each on the second day of the 34th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board inter-unit athletics meet here on Wednesday.
Sandeep won the gold clocking 48.4 seconds as he pipped ONGC's Manjit Singh (48.6) in the final.In triple jump, Arpinder Singh came up with a best leap of 15.67m to leave HPCL's Sonu Kumar a distat second. The second day of the meet both ONGC and HPCL claim three gold each.
