Phillies release complete list of 27 non-roster invitees ahead of spring training
The Philadelphia Phillies have posted their entire non-roster invitee list of 27 players for the 2026 Major League Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida, with a blend of potential talent and veteran depth players getting an opportunity to vie for the Major League roles. The non-roster invite of yearly tradition helps the teams to check out talent outside the 40-man roster, examine upcoming talent, and build up competition as the regular season approaches.
At the top of the list are two of the best young talents of the Phillies, an outfielder, Justin Crawford, and an infielder, Aidan Miller. As one of the greatest prospects in the organization, Crawford recorded a remarkable .334 batting average in Triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2025 and is considered by most people in the club as a great candidate to get an outfield role in the Opening Day lineup. The No. 1 prospect of the club, Miller, also spent the majority of 2025 with Double-A Reading but ended up with a strong performance in Triple-A with the discipline at the plate and the speed of his legs.

In the list of invitees, there are some with obvious avenues to playing time based on performance and roster requirements. The most expected are Crawford and Miller, who are generally talked about as the best candidates for the center field position and whose names have attracted attention as potential middle-infield candidates in the future.
Having a moderate composition of young prospects and experienced minor-league players, the Phillies' 2026 non-roster invite list prepares a thrilling spring as players vie to secure spots and the club completes its own roster before Opening Day.
