2026 will mark the 50th season of the Toronto Blue Jays, marking the team's entry into Major League Baseball, and it is going to be a memorable occasion for the team. In recognition of the occasion, the team unveiled a special patch that they'll wear all season. Toronto will honour five decades of baseball with a visual tribute: a patch.

For this anniversary branding, it'll be prominently placed on all regular game jerseys and the City Connect uniform, with additional visibility through many different avenues. The patch is simply old and new styles. The history of the club is well documented with its growth from relative obscurity to one of the most recognized international franchises in baseball.

Design details reflect 50 years of Toronto Blue Jays history

The patch honoring the team itself is inspired by the Blue Jays' original look, but also has some of the polish of modern design. The border surrounding the emblem features a gold trim that signifies the significance of hitting the 50-year milestone. Toronto Blue Jays plan season-long celebrations at Rogers Centre

Away from the field, the Blue Jays have numerous anniversary-focused initiatives on the slate for fans attending games at Rogers Centre. Many historical exhibits will be featured along the 100-level concourse, highlighting significant events, legendary players, and unforgettable seasons in the 50 years since the franchise's founding.

The season that will be focused on was the club's most successful, when it won the World Series in 1992 and 1993. Expect interactive displays, vintage photos, and select memorabilia that reflect the journey from an expansion franchise to a championship contender.
