Juan Soto makes bold prediction for NY Mets ahead of 2025 regular season

In December last year, Juan Soto started his journey with the New York Mets, and has been consistent with his performance in the Spring Training. However, Soto has got some big plans for the Mets. Recently, the outfielder made a bold prediction for the Mets as the team heads to the 2025 regular season.

On Monday, "TODAY" interviewed Juan Soto, during which the outfielder made some interesting statements, including the one in which he shared his prediction for the Mets. Even though Soto made it clear that he's "not a magician," but he has a strong gut feeling that:

"[Mets are] really close to going back to the top. We have what we need to be up there, so I don’t have ... I’m not a magician that I’m gonna tell you what is gonna happen this year, but we’re gonna be up there.”

Moving forward in the interview, Juan Soto talked about his massive $765 Million contract with the Mets. Soto claimed that it was the "biggest thing" for him that the franchise chose him for who he was, and talking about the same in detail, Soto said:

"[Mets Chose me] for who I am, so I’m gonna keep being who I am. That’s the biggest thing for me. I don’t want to try to do more; I’m not gonna try to put a building on my back. I just gotta keep doing whatever I’ve been doing since day one. So I think that’s how I keep the pressure out of my way.”

Aaron Judge's take on Juan Soto leaving Yankees for Mets

During a press conference last month, Aaron Judge finally broke his silence on Juan Soto's departure. Judge claimed to have no hard feelings for Soto. If anything, the Yankees captain claimed that the duo are "still friends." Talking about the same, he said:

“I'd asked him how camp was going and how he was getting along with the new guys, about the whole situation over there. You’re the best there is at fitting in. You came over here and were one of us from day one. You’re going to be just fine. There’s no hard feelings. We’re still friends."


There were also speculations that Juan Soto's massive deal also influenced Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s decision to reject a contract extension with the Toronto Blue Jays. Recently, Guerrero Jr. shed light on the same and claimed that the team offered him less money than what Soto received from the Mets.
