He explained that both teams have clear reasons to go after him. With Boston, the connection is already there.

Alex Bregman knows the coaches, the clubhouse, and the city. Many fans enjoyed watching him play in a Red Sox uniform.

A return would give him comfort, stability, and a clear spot in the lineup.

The Chicago Cubs are also very interested. They have looked at Alex Bregman before and still believe his bat could help their offense.


Morosi said the Cubs could move players around if needed to make room for him. That shows they are serious about bringing him in.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are still watching the situation. They have not ruled out Alex Bregman. However, they recently chose to keep Ketel Marte instead of trading him.

That decision suggests Arizona may now focus more on bullpen help and a right-handed first baseman.
