Notably, the Olympic gold medalist and her brother DJ were mainly raised by their mother Michelle Moyer after her parents separated. Rodman has previously spoken about the financial struggles her family faced growing up in California. At one point, they even lived in a vehicle after the divorce.

Despite those hardships, Rodman built a successful soccer career at a very young age. She became the youngest American player ever drafted into the National Women’s Soccer League in 2021. Since then, she has won an NWSL title and also helped the United States win Olympic gold in Paris in 2024.
