Rice once joked about Fryer being jealous of his close friendship with Mason Mount. “My missus is quite worried. I’m genuinely being serious. She’s quite worried,” Rice told The Sun in 2019. “Oh, she’s just always, ‘You two… you love him more than you love me’. Honestly. We just get it in the neck all the time. But they need to understand the friendship”, he added.

In August 2022, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Jude. Rice confirmed the birth with a tattoo showing Jude’s name, birth date, and star sign. The pregnancy was kept private at first. Fans later sent messages of support after spotting the tattoo.

The couple also share a dog named Raffa, a cockapoo gifted by Rice. They live together in London and enjoy quiet time as a family.

The couple’s private life faced unwanted attention in December 2023. Lauren Fryer became the target of cruel online trolling about her appearance. Netizens trolled and mocked her for her looks, stating she doesn't look like someone dating a footballer.

After continued abuse, she deleted all her Instagram photos. Declan Rice also removed images of her from his account. “No kid ever deserves this,” her sister said previously about public hardship.

Supporters defended Fryer online, calling the abuse unacceptable. Despite the negativity, Rice and Fryer continue to stay united and focused on their family.
