Kielyn McCright trained at American Twisters in Coconut Creek, Florida. She worked under coaches Gary Anderson and Christy Collazo Ramirez. That early training helped shape her strong beam routines.

In 2022, during her freshman year at Utah State, she competed as a beam specialist in all 13 meets. That is not easy for a first year athlete. She showed calm nerves and steady form.

Later, in 2024, she competed in 13 meets as a sophomore for the Crimson Tigers. She recorded a 9.850 on balance beam in an NCAA tournament. Even more impressive, she scored 9.900 three times — once in Pittsburgh and twice in North Carolina.

Last season, she competed in seven meets on beam and reached a season high of 9.875 at the ACC Championship. That event became extra special for her.

However, her season was not perfect. She missed six meets due to injury. Still, she returned strong and proud.

The most emotional moment came at the ACC Championship. Years ago, her father filmed her as a child and said she would one day compete on television. At the championship, that dream came true. McCright later shared the old video of her dad making that prediction. It was a full circle moment.
