Two time Olympics star shares dreamy Milan Proposal, gets bombarded with heartfelt wishes by Olympics champions on Instagram

Chiaka Ogbogu recently delighted fans by sharing photos from her romantic proposal in Milan. The two-time Olympic medalist posted a carousel on Instagram. Her post quickly gained attention from fans and fellow athletes. The proposal took place in a stylish setting and featured elegant outfits and a sparkling diamond ring. Ogbogu’s post soon attracted congratulatory messages from several well-known volleyball players and Olympic athletes.

The American middle blocker has built a strong reputation in international volleyball. Before becoming a professional athlete, she played college volleyball at the University of Texas. There, she finished her collegiate career as the school’s record holder for career blocks. Ogbogu also earned multiple honors during her time in college, including being named a four-time AVCA All-American and the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2017.

In the photos shared online, Chiaka Ogbogu appeared in a stylish black off-shoulder dress paired with black heels. She completed the look with a long trench coat. Her partner, whose identity was not revealed in the post, wore a black t-shirt with grey trousers. One of the photos also highlighted her gorgeous engagement ring. The gold ring featured an almond-shaped diamond that caught the attention of fans.

In the caption of the post, Ogbogu expressed her happiness about the special moment. She wrote that she always felt certain that her partner was someone meant for her. She described saying “sí” as the easiest decision of her life.

Brazilian volleyball star Gabriela Guimaraes affectionately referred to Ogbogu as “Queen” while congratulating her. Other players such as Zoe Jarvis, Madison Rishel, and Laura Dijkema also shared their excitement in the comments.

Ogbogu’s engagement news comes as another joyful milestone in her life. Her career is already filled with achievements. She has won a gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and a silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
