World champion bodybuilder Jason Lowe has died unexpectedly at the age of 38. The tragic news was confirmed by his wife, Ashley Lowe, through a series of emotional posts on Instagram last week. Ashley shared the first post on January 22, calling it the hardest day of her life. She has continued to share pictures and memories of Jason because she wants to honor his life and their relationship. Her words expressed her deep emotional distress, which she felt after experiencing the sudden death of her loved one.

Jason Lowe was a respected name in the bodybuilding world. He competed at the highest level, built a strong fan base, and was known for his kind nature inside and outside the gym. According to the National Physique Committee, Jason Lowe competed regularly between 2015 and 2022. He was a two-time Olympia competitor, one of the biggest stages in bodybuilding.

He made his first Olympia Competition appearance in 2019 in the Men’s Classic Physique division, where he placed 16th. The following year, he competed in the 212 division and finished 11th. Lowe also impressed at the Arnold Classic, where he reached a best finish of seventh place across two appearances.

Known by the nickname “Broku,” a mix of “Bro” and Goku from Dragon Ball, Jason built a loyal online following. He had more than 104,000 followers on Instagram, where fans closely followed his training and competitions.

A close friend started a GoFundMe page to support Ashley and the Lowe family. The organizer described Jason’s passing as “unexpected.” Lowe was based in Florida and was widely respected in the weightlifting and bodybuilding community.

Veteran bodybuilding journalist Dave Palumbo said on the RX Muscle YouTube channel that Lowe was training a client when he suddenly collapsed.

Tributes quickly followed. John Jewett said, “Jason was always a friendly face to see at shows.” Jason Hutchinson added, “Jason was awesome every time we talked or saw each other.” WWE legend Kevin Nash also paid tribute, writing, “He was so kind, humble. I won’t forget my friend.”
