“I think in n**s”: Dana White confirms Khamzat Chimaev kicked Sean Strickland in NSFW place during UFC 328 press conference
The rivalry between Khamzat Chimaev and Sean Strickland exploded during the UFC 328 press conference after a heated face-off turned physical. The two middleweights exchanged personal insults throughout the event. Strickland made comments about Chimaev’s religion, while the champion responded by mentioning Strickland’s troubled childhood. The tension quickly grew as both fighters continued verbally attacking each other in front of fans and media members.
Things became chaotic when the fighters stood face-to-face on stage. Chimaev suddenly kicked toward Strickland, forcing security and UFC officials to separate them before the situation became worse. UFC CEO Dana White later confirmed that the kick appeared to land in Strickland’s groin area. White admitted he expected verbal exchanges but did not think the confrontation would become physical. The incident has now added even more intensity ahead of their highly anticipated title fight at UFC 328.
“The security guy from that angle got in the way of the kick. I had his arms, I had Khamzat’s arms. I didn’t think he would kick him. I didn’t think he would do anything. I thought it was going to be a lot of yelling and back-and-forth, so. That’s the most we will fail this weekend”, White said.
The situation became more surprising because Chimaev had earlier promised to stay calm during fight week. In an interview with Adam Zubaraev, the middleweight champion said he no longer wanted to behave unprofessionally outside the cage. Chimaev explained that there was no reason to fight in public with security guards and officials surrounding them. He insisted that all emotions should be shown during the actual bout inside the octagon.
Chimaev also stated before the event that his focus was on earning money and delivering a strong performance for fans. He said he hoped both fighters would compete well and leave the cage healthy after putting on an entertaining fight. However, the press conference incident has now raised concerns about whether both men can keep control before fight night arrives.

Dana White reacts after Khamzat Chimaev and Sean Strickland brawl
After the press conference chaos, Dana White shared his thoughts during a livestream with Nina-Marie Daniele. White explained that from his view, the kick looked like it struck Strickland below the belt. He also revealed that security partially blocked the impact while trying to control the fighters. According to White, he was personally holding Chimaev’s arms during the face-off and expected only shouting between the two men instead of a physical attack.“The security guy from that angle got in the way of the kick. I had his arms, I had Khamzat’s arms. I didn’t think he would kick him. I didn’t think he would do anything. I thought it was going to be a lot of yelling and back-and-forth, so.
