Devendra tops the PGTI's pre-qualifying leaderboard

JAIPUR: Bhopal pro Devendra Patel brought home a second round card of one-over 71 to retain his lead after the halfway stage of the Aircel-PGTI's Pre Qualifying I for the 2010 golf season on Thursday.
The Bhopal-based professional finished the day at one-under 139.
A total of 41 players qualified from Pre Qualifying I for the Final Qualifying Stage as six players were tied at 36th when the cut was declared at 14-over 154.
In round two, Patel sank birdies on the 13th and 17th and made bogeys on the third, 12th and 16th to post a one-over 71.
Noida's Pradeep Kumar (72, 69) was placed second at one-over 141. Mohd Yamin and Kuldeep Singh were a further stroke behind in tied third.
Mahesh Yadav, Ghulam Mohammed Ghori, Damodar Kumawat and Yogendra Kumawat were the four Jaipur golfers who made it to the Final Qualifying Stage.
