Max Verstappen melts hearts as he plays beach volleyball and enjoys beach time with daughter Lily and Kelly Piquet in Brazil

Max Verstappen and girlfriend Kelly Piquet flew to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to spend their New Year break. The couple were accompanied by their eight month-old daughter Lily, Piquet’s elder daughter Penelope, and a group of close friends. Piquet had been sharing wholesome moments from the vacation on social media, giving fans a glimpse of Verstappen enjoying precious time with Lily. During the getaway, Verstappen played beach volleyball and gently introduced Lily to the sea waves, marking her first time visiting Brazil.

Kelly Piquet took to Instagram Stories to keep fans updated on their Brazilian holiday. She shared a video of Max Verstappen in red shorts playing beach volleyball with a group of boys, followed by another clip of him holding Lily on the beach and letting her feel the sea as the waves rolled in. Piquet was also seen soaking up the sun with Lily while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.

She later posted a series of photos with Lily standing on a yacht, both gazing at the green waters. Piquet looked elegant in a brown swimsuit paired with a matching sarong and captioned the pictures, “First time in the Brazilian sea.”

Verstappen dropped a like on the post, while fans were delighted to catch a glimpse of Lily, who was born in May last year. “I just know she is a copy of Max,” wrote one fan. Another compared her resemblance to Verstappen’s sister, commenting, “I think she reminds me of Hailey, her niece, daughter of Victoria.”

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet recently moved into their new home, making this their first New Year celebration with Lily. Reflecting on the year gone by, Piquet shared an emotional Instagram post, writing: “A year of big changes. Welcoming my second baby, a new home, Nino’s arrival, not one but TWO very special baby showers, my second Vogue cover, unforgettable moments with family and friends, exciting work opportunities… as well as challenges, exhaustion, and growth. Closing the year grateful, a little tired, and ready for 2026.”

After narrowly losing his fifth consecutive Formula 1 title to Lando Norris by just two points last season, Verstappen is set to return to action with Red Bull this year. The season begins with three pre-season tests, one in Barcelona and two in Bahrain, before the 2026 F1 season officially kicks off at the Australian Grand Prix on March 8.
