Williams driver Alex Albon is officially engaged to his longtime girlfriend and Chinese golfer Lily Muni He. The 29-year-old Formula 1 star announced the happy news on Instagram by sharing a photo of the couple, with the engagement ring taking center stage on his fiancee’s finger. Albon and Lily have been open about their relationship at races, public events, and on social media, but the engagement marks a major new chapter for the couple. Soon after the announcement, congratulatory messages poured in from across the F1 paddock, including several well-known WAGs like Kelly Piquet and Alexandra Saint Mleux.

Alex Albon shared the engagement photo featuring Lily Muni He on Instagram and captioned it: “I guess we’re stuck with each other now,” accompanied by a red heart and smiley emoji.

Williams teammate Carlos Sainz was quick to react, commenting, “So happy for you, congrats guys!” with clapping emojis. McLaren driver Oscar Piastri and his girlfriend Lily Zneimer also sent their congratulations.

Max Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet wrote, “Ohhhh congratulations.” Charles Leclerc’s fiancee Alexandra Saint Mleux commented, “Awww congratulationsss,” along with multiple heart emojis and an emotional face. Red Bull reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda, Alpine driver Franco Colapinto, and former F1 racer Daniil Kvyat also congratulated the couple in the comments.

Alex Albon and Lily Muni He spent the offseason in Thailand and Bhutan

Lily Muni He is a professional golfer from China who currently competes on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She and Albon have been dating since 2019 and have frequently appeared together at F1 events, including walking the red carpet at the F1 movie premiere in New York.

During the offseason break, the couple rang in the New Year in Bhutan. Sharing photos from the trip, Albon wrote on Instagram: “Ending our year in Bhutan, a country of untouched beauty and the kindest, most welcoming people. A reminder what really matters as we step into a new year.”

Before that, the pair vacationed in Albon’s home country of Thailand. He posted photos from a yacht outing, joking in the caption: “Swapped training camp for resting camp. Data looks good.”

Following the engagement, Albon is expected to head into the 2026 Formula 1 season with renewed energy and optimism. The season will begin with preseason testing in Barcelona and Bahrain, ahead of Round 1 in Australia in March.
