F1 was shot at the UK’s iconic Silverstone Circuit as well as several other tracks, including the Hungaroring Circuit in Hungary, during real race weekends. F1 stars like Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and the film’s producer Lewis Hamilton even make cameo appearances.A movie buff who runs the popular Instagram page Stepping Through Film shared some stills from the shoot, writing, “‘F1: The Movie’ in reality. Take the wheel. Hold on tight. It’s time to step through the world of F1 at Silverstone. This film was incredible. What a feat in filmmaking… how do you make an authentic F1 film? Make it during real Grand Prix weekends and use real race tracks like Silverstone – which is exactly what director Joseph Kosinski did.
Thank you to Silverstone for letting me step through this film on the tracks. Very surreal!”
Thomas Duke, who visited the Silverstone Circuit for the post, wrote, “It was so strange being on an empty race track at Silverstone! It felt scary but also exhilarating – I can understand the rush that F1 racers must feel! What an achievement with this film. The fact they used real race tracks and stayed so true to the world of F1 really added so much to it all. Thank you @silverstonecircuit for having me.”Reacting to the pictures, one fan commented, “This is so cool,” while another called it “epic.”Also Read: Lewis Hamilton’s fans can’t keep calm as his dog Roscoe graces magazine cover, F1 star reveals “He likes fancy sneakers”
