Taylor Barnard’s DS Penske concept car wows fans at Brussels Motor Show

Taylor Barnard scored his first points for his new team, DS Penske, at the Mexico City E-Prix earlier this month. The 21-year-old has now unveiled a unique concept car that he helped create in collaboration with the team. The car was revealed at the Brussels Motor Show and immediately caught the attention of car enthusiasts and Barnard’s fans alike. Barnard also signed posters featuring himself alongside the new concept car at the event.

Taylor Barnard worked closely with the DS Design Studio to create the one-of-a-kind DS N°4 concept car. A video from the unveiling was shared by DS Penske on Instagram with the caption: “Formula E driver Taylor Barnard met fans at the Brussels Motor Show with his Taylor-made N°4 Concept. A unique creation by the DS Design Studio, inspired by racing and digital culture. Discover this world premiere at the Brussels Motor Show, together with the DS E-TENSE FE25 Formula E and DS Performance Line models. Hall 5.”

Fans were quick to praise the design. Reacting to the car’s look, one fan wrote, “Amazing work Tay, looks so good.” Another commented, “Well done, young man. The car looks amazing!” One fan even called Barnard “my favorite rookie.”

Taylor Barnard joins DS Penske for the 2026 Formula E season

Taylor Barnard had a challenging start to the season, finishing 13th in his debut race for DS Penske in Sao Paulo. However, he bounced back strongly in Round 2 in Mexico City. Barnard narrowly missed out on pole position to Sebastien Buemi and started second on the grid. He went on to finish fourth in a race won by Nick Cassidy.

Following the Mexico City E-Prix, Barnard shared on Instagram: “Mexico City. Incredible support as always, so thank you to everyone that showed up. Happy to take some valuable points away from the weekend after a difficult start in São Paulo. P4 in the race and fighting for pole is always positive. Big thanks to the team, the car worked well all weekend.” He was also named PIF Driver of the Race for his performance.

Barnard will now head to Miami for Round 3 of the season, where he will be aiming to secure a podium finish. The Miami E-Prix is scheduled for January 31.
