Roblox gets a jolt as Formula E unveils Electric Lap for Gen Z and Gen Alpha gamers
Formula E and gaming-entertainment studio Feenix have joined forces to launch Formula E: Electric Lap on Roblox, aiming to connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha fans of the sport. Feenix, known for crafting immersive Roblox experiences, is offering young players a dynamic new way to customise, race, and express themselves in a next-generation virtual motorsport world.
Introducing the platform, Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds said, “Formula E has always pushed boundaries and challenged what’s possible in motorsport, and launching Electric Lap on Roblox takes that mission even further. We’re opening the door to millions of young players to discover the thrill of electric racing through gameplay that’s fun and truly creative. I’m genuinely excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to see it evolve throughout this coming season.”
Feenix Studio General Manager Michelle Perez Barrous added, “Formula E is one of the most innovative sports brands in the world and bringing that energy into Roblox is a perfect match. Gen Z and Gen Alpha build fandom through play—through worlds they shape, communities they join, and experiences they revisit. The city-inspired gameplay mirrors real Formula E action with key elements like Attack Mode, energy management and regeneration, pit strategy, tactical decision-making, and multiplayer street racing. Fans can explore real-world Formula E circuits, iconic global cities, and imaginative fantasy tracks, while unlocking custom liveries, avatar items, and UGC gear transferable across Roblox.
