The lights will soon go out for Formula E Season 12’s first double-header and the first night race of the year. Rain is not on the cards at the Jeddah E-Prix, but the drivers will have to deal with a hot and humid weather as they get behind the wheels of the GEN3 Evo cars. After Oliver Rowland grabbed two podiums in Jeddah last year, it remains to be seen if he bags another one this weekend. The Jeddah E-Prix will begin with the first free practice on Thursday, February 12. The GEN3 Evo cars will go under the lights at 8 PM local time (10:30 PM IST).

It’s a packed day on Friday, February 13, as the day’s schedule will start with the second free practice, FP2, post-noon at 1:30 PM local time (4 PM IST). The Round 4 qualifying will follow at 3:40 PM local time (6:10 PM IST). It will be followed by the Round 4 final at 8:05 PM local time (10:35 PM IST).Offering double the fun in Jeddah, the Friday schedule will be repeated on Day 3 of the double-header. The day will start post-noon with the third free practice, FP3, on Saturday, February 14. It will start at 1:30 PM local time (4 PM IST). It will be followed by the Round 5 qualifying at 3:40 PM local time (6:10 PM IST).
The Round 5 final will begin at 8:05 PM local time (10:35 PM IST).

It’s hot and humid in Jeddah, with temperatures hovering around 31 degrees Celsius, as per AccuWeather.com. Therefore, the night race comes as a better option, as the temperature will drop below 25 degrees Celsius when the drivers take to the track for the first time for FP1 on Thursday. It will be partially cloudy, but there is no sign of rain this weekend.The drivers will, however, have to deal with 31 degrees Celsius as they return to the track for FP2 on Friday, though the dense cloud cover may slightly reduce the sun’s intensity. It will be 5-6 degrees cooler for the Round 4 qualifying and the race, with the latter taking place after sunset.Saturday will have similar weather, with temperatures around 31 degrees Celsius for FP3 post-noon. It will drop to 25–27 degrees Celsius for the Round 5 qualifying and the final.
