Jean-Eric Vergne hits 150 Formula E races: “I don’t think there is anything I would do differently”
Jean-Eric Vergne continues to compete in Formula E after moving to Citroen Racing. He has been part of the all-electric series since its inaugural season in 2014 and recently competed in his 150th Formula E race in Jeddah. He remains the only driver in the championship’s history to win two consecutive world titles. Vergne recently reflected on his long career and named his favorite race, one held in his home country.
“I don’t think there is anything I would do differently. The experience you gain is what really matters, and what you do with it,” he added.
His milestone video was shared on Citroen Racing’s social media page with the caption: “150 races. One incredible journey. This weekend in Jeddah, @jeanericvergne reaches a huge milestone - his 150th Formula E race. From unforgettable battles to defining moments, he’s been part of the story from the beginning… and he’s still writing the next chapter.”
He entered Formula E in its debut season in 2014 and started racing for Andretti. He then moved to DS Virgin Racing for a year before joining Techeetah, where he won back-to-back championships. He secured his first Formula E victory in Season 3 in Canada. In 2023, he switched to DS Penske. After spending three seasons there, he joined Citroen Racing for Season 12.
Vergne endured a disappointing debut with Citroen Racing in Sao Paulo after failing to finish the race. He went on to finish eighth at the Mexico City E-Prix and 15th at the Miami E-Prix. Last weekend, he placed eighth and ninth in Rounds 4 and 5 of the Jeddah double-header.
The 35-year-old French driver currently sits well down the Formula E Drivers’ Standings with 10 points. However, with 12 races still remaining, he has time to improve his championship position.
