From car fitting to training: Max Klymenko reveals what he learned at Formula E’s Evo Session in Jeddah
Social media influencer Max Klymenko, who won the wooden spoon for being the slowest driver at the Formula E Evo Session in Jeddah, has shared his experience from the event. The TikToker, who explores career and business opportunities, got a chance to drive for Citroen Racing at the Evo Session. He has now revealed the behind-the-scenes details of what it takes to drive a Formula E car.
Talking about his training for the Evo Session and car fitting, Klymenko said in the video, “My preparation for the race actually started a month earlier in Paris with the Citroen Racing team. The first thing we did was the car fitting, which is actually an insane process. I sat in this model of a car, and then the engineers poured this hot liquid they had prepared, which basically filled the seat mold. I was sweating like crazy, but I had to stay still for 30 minutes to make sure the mold was perfect around my body. Then I spent hours and hours in the simulator of the exact Jeddah track in Saudi Arabia that I would be racing on.”
Klymenko was part of QuickStars, which included Khaby Lame, Emilia Hartford, Stan Browney, and JUCA, and was led by Vikkstar. Sharing his first reaction to his custom merchandise and more, he said, “When I first arrived at the track, I was shocked because the garage, the suit, the helmet, and even the car had my name and my flag on them, which technically makes me the first Ukrainian driver in Formula E history. My competition also had the same treatment, they were cooking too.”
Klymenko was in the paddock for the Round 5 race to watch it closely before getting his own chance the next day. “So I arrived a day early to watch the actual race and get some tips from the professional drivers. Obviously, these cars are electric, so they accelerate faster than Formula 1 cars, sound very different, and offer more opportunities to overtake,” he said.
Finally, sharing his feelings about winning the wooden spoon for being the slowest, he said, “Coming back home, eating borscht with it tonight. It’s still a trophy and the most practical one out of the ones available, so I’m pretty happy with it.”
Stan Browney wrote in the comments, “Put the spoon to good use, I see.” A fan commented, “Loved your enthusiasm.” Another suggested he try driving an F1 car next, quoting Max Verstappen’s famous line: “Try Formula E with steroids.”
Ultimately, it was Jaguar TCS Racing’s Chip who won the Formula E Evo Session for Senor Frogs.

Max Klymenko shares how different it is to drive a Formula E car
On how it actually felt to drive the car, Max Klymenko revealed, “First, it was very hot, and I was sweating a lot in the suit and helmet, so I was drinking water any chance I got, but I still felt dehydrated. Second, the car itself feels very low, and with everything on, you can’t see much compared to the simulator. Third, it felt very fast at full speed. The braking was easier than I expected, but the G-force during both acceleration and braking was insane.”Stan Browney wrote in the comments, “Put the spoon to good use, I see.” A fan commented, “Loved your enthusiasm.” Another suggested he try driving an F1 car next, quoting Max Verstappen’s famous line: “Try Formula E with steroids.”
