Felipe Drugovich unwinds with girlfriend Carla Sirotti after Formula E debut in Sao Paulo

Felipe Drugovich made his Formula E debut on home soil at the season’s first race in Sao Paulo. The Formula E rookie even left a positive impression after finishing fifth in his debut race, although he was demoted to 12th position after incurring a penalty. During the Christmas and New Year break, the Andretti driver is spending time with his girlfriend Carla Sirotti, in addition to playing golf and enjoying his free time going out and about in the city. He recently shared a glimpse of how he was spending his free time before Formula E returns with the Round 2 race in Mexico.

Felipe Drugovich shared his December dump on Instagram and simply added a film roll emoji to the caption. One of the pictures showed Drugovich taking a selfie with his girlfriend Carla Sirotti as they both posed in a lift. Other pictures highlight his love for golf, show how he changed a punctured tyre, and reflect how he is spending his time dining out and having fun.

A fan asked, “Is this what a Formula Champion looks like in his debut year?” Another wrote in the comments, “You're cute and loving it.” One more commented, “That's it, enjoy life.”

Who is Formula E rookie Felipe Drugovich?

Felipe Drugovich stepped away from his duties as a reserve driver for Aston Martin in Formula 1 to make his Formula E debut. He is the 2022 Formula 2 champion as well as the 2018 Euroformula Open champion. He is now racing for Andretti alongside Jake Dennis, who won the Sao Paulo E-Prix this month. Had he not received a penalty, he would have finished fifth at the Sao Paulo E-Prix.

Reflecting on the race, Drugovich wrote on Instagram, “P5 at the home E-Prix dropping off the grid! Such a shame about the penalty that made us fall out of the top ten, the podium was in our hands! We have a great car, let's go to the next one. Thanks to everyone who cheered.”


Before that, he commemorated his iconic debut race in his home country by driving the Andretti GEN3 Evo car on the runway at Sao Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos. The stunt marked Formula E’s partnership with Google Cloud. Brazil’s biggest and busiest airport was shut down temporarily to make way for the Formula E car driven by Drugovich. The GEN3 Evo car, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 1.86 seconds, was run in the official Championship livery, demonstrating its acceleration speed by covering the entire airport runway landing route.
