Indian National FC maintains winning spree

NEW DELHI: Newly-promoted Indian National FC maintained its winning spree to notch-up their fifth successive victory when they defeated Shimla Youngs FC in group- A preliminary league match of the DLF - ONGC - Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual Seniopr Division Open Clubs Football League Championship- 2013 being held at CWG Village Sports Complex, Akshardham here today.
Nationals have now leading group- A with 15 points from 5 matches while Shimla Youngs completed their engagements by getting 4 points from 6 games. National took 1 - 0 lead in 14th minute through their foreign national nigerian recruit Okorogor.
Shimla Youngs restored parity 1 - 1 in 37th minute through Christopher. National's another foreign recruit Mayel completed tally 2 - 1 in 56th minute.
Earlier in group- A also Delhi United FC rallied to defeat Canara - Ahbab FC 2 - 1 to collect three crucial points. Ahbab took 1 - 0- lead in 40th minute through nigerian recruit Feftus Onoriode.
Delhi United equalised score 1 - 1 in 46th minute through nigerian Charles. Another foreign National recruit Adewthni Femi completed tally 2 - 1 for Delhi United.
Delhi United FC have 6 points from 5 games an d will play their last match agaInst IOCL - Garhwal Heroes on January 10. Ahbab club completed their engagements by securing 5 points from 6 matches.
