The 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will feature an unprecedented 48 teams competing for glory.In recent South American qualifying matches, Uruguay secured their spot with a 3-0 victory over Peru. Colombia also earned their place by defeating Bolivia 3-0, while Paraguay's 0-0 draw with Ecuador guaranteed their qualification.The qualification process will see 43 teams earning their places through continental tournaments. Two additional spots will be determined through intercontinental playoffs involving six teams in March 2026.
