Bournemouth dominated the first half of their FA Cup fourth-round clash against Swansea, securing a commanding 5-0 victory on Thursday.

The onslaught at the Vitality Stadium saw goals from Lloyd Kelly, Alex Scott, Luis Sinisterra, David Brooks and Dominic Solanke, firmly asserting their superiority over the Championship side.

In a stark contrast to their previous League Cup encounter, where Bournemouth secured a 3-2 win with a late goal from Ryan Christie, this time there were no late heroics needed. The Premier League team highlighted the evident gap between the clubs, securing their spot as the first team to advance to the FA Cup fifth round this season.

The rest of the last 32 matches are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Having overcome a two-goal deficit against QPR in the third round, Bournemouth wasted no time establishing a two-goal lead within the first 10 minutes against Swansea.

In the seventh minute, a free-kick from Brooks caused chaos, leading to a clinical half-volley from Kelly. Three minutes later, Brooks orchestrated an incisive run, setting up Scott for a skillful finish.

Swansea's struggles continued as a misplaced pass from Andy Fisher was intercepted by Scott, who assisted Sinisterra in slotting the ball into the far corner. Despite Swansea's attempts to respond, hitting the post and forcing a save from Bournemouth 'keeper Mark Travers, the misery persisted.

In the 35th minute, Brooks added to Swansea's woes with a composed finish, and Dominic Solanke sealed the victory with a close-range goal in the 44th minute. The dejected Swansea fans who left at half-time were spared further disappointment as Bournemouth eased off in the second half, securing their most significant win in all competitions since July 2021.
