Benfica agree to play in Goa

PANAJI: It's been a long time coming but Sporting Lisboa e Benfica - better known to the world as Benfica FC - will set foot on Goan soil again. The Goa Football Association (GFA) have narrowed down their search to three teams for the golden jubilee commemorative match at the Nehru stadium in Fatorda. Benfica FC are now favourite to make a much-awaited return to Goa this year. "One of the teams who haveshown willingness is Benfica," GFA president Shrinivas Dempo told TOI.
