When Schmeichel vomited (April 1996): The collision between Coventry City defender David Busst and Manchester United's Dennis Irwin is regarded as the worst injury in English football. Busst suffered a double compound fracture; the cracked fibula bone pierced the skin. It took 15 minutes to clean up his blood from the pitch.
