Twitch streamer and content creator Ludwig Ahgren has finally spoken up—kind of. Amid the swirling backlash from the controversial Beerio Kart 2025 incident, Ludwig revealed he’s been in contact with Smash Bros pro Mang0. But don’t expect a full breakdown from him just yet. According to Ludwig, Mang0 himself has asked that things stay under wraps, at least for now.
Ludwig Opens Up, But Not Fully
In a recent livestream, Ludwig addressed the elephant in the room: his conversation with longtime friend and fellow Smash community icon Mang0. Without diving deep into specifics, Ludwig said plainly,
“I did talk to Mang0... but he asked me not to speak on it.”While the chat didn’t go into details, it confirmed one thing: there was some level of accountability talk behind the scenes. But per Mang0’s request, Ludwig is choosing silence over further commentary.
What Happened in Beerio Kart 2025?
The controversy stems from Ludwig’s Beerio Kart 2025 event, a now-notorious stream that combined competitive Mario Kart and heavy alcohol consumption. Things spiraled when Mang0, visibly intoxicated, made several inappropriate gestures around female streamers. Clips went viral. The internet was furious.
Many pointed fingers at Mang0 for his behaviour, but Ludwig wasn’t spared either.
As the host, he was accused of enabling the situation, especially considering Mang0’s rumored struggles with alcohol.
“I Think That’s a Fair Request”
Despite the criticism, Ludwig seemed to respect Mang0’s decision to take the blame without dragging others into the mess. Mang0, according to Ludwig, wants to
“take it on the chin.”“I think that’s a fair request,” Ludwig explained during the stream.
“He’s spending time with his kid. He started day one of not drinking yesterday, which is dope.”Still Friends, But Lines Have Been Drawn
Though Ludwig confirmed that their friendship remains intact, he made a tough call—Mang0 is banned from any future Ludwig-hosted events. The decision wasn’t made lightly. In Ludwig’s own words, it was driven by the discomfort expressed by those close to him, including his girlfriend and Maya Higa.
“They felt really uncomfortable at my own event,” Ludwig stated. That was the line. And that was enough.
Ludwig on Accountability: “I’ve Said My Piece”
As public pressure mounted, Ludwig acknowledged that many still expect more from him—more responsibility, more remorse, maybe even a full apology tour. But Ludwig’s stance is simple:
“I’ve said my piece.”“If people don’t f**k with me, that’s totally chill,” he added.
“I can’t control how people feel about me.”
