A much improved batting display from Gujarat! They feared the worst after losing the wicket of Sophia Dunkley early on but the partnership between Harleen Deol and Laura Wolvaardt settled the nerves for them. Harleen kept the scoreboard ticking and never let the scoreboard pressure pile on the pair. After the dismissal of Harleen, it was Ashleigh Gardner stepping up and she changed the momentum completely in favor of Gujarat as she scored freely. Her partnership of 81 runs with Laura helped the team to post a fighting total on this track. Laura was the top scorer as she scored 57 runs while Gardner also notched up a half-century.

Delhi would be thinking that they gave 10-15 runs extra as they were not at their best in the field and had a rough outing in the field. Jess Jonassen grabbed a couple while Marizanne Kapp and Arundhati Reddy got a wicket each. Delhi bat explosive at the top and have some serious depth hence would be up for the run chase.
