WPL 2026 Auction Live Updates: Action at the auction so far!
Mumbai Indians re-signed off-spin all-rounder Sanskriti Gupta at her base price of ?20 lakh, while Royal Challengers Bangalore used their Right to Match (RTM) card to retain leg-spin all-rounder Prema Rawat during the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) mega auction.
Delhi Capitals made one of the standout moves in the uncapped section, signing 16-year-old Gurgaon batting sensation Deeya Yadav for Rs 10 lakh. While most uncapped domestic players remained unsold in the early phase, many are expected to return to the spotlight during the accelerated round.
In the uncapped batters' category, Pranavi Chandra, Davina Perrin, Vrinda Dinesh, Disha Kasat, Arushi Goel and Sanika Chalke went unsold. However, Deeya received a bid from DC and was secured at her starting price. She will now join fellow Haryana teammate and opening all-rounder Shafali Verma at the franchise.
Deeya caught attention after a breakthrough Senior Women’s T20 Trophy campaign, scoring 298 runs in eight innings at an average of 59.5 and a strike rate of 128, including three half-centuries. She continued her form at the inter-zonal T20s in Nagaland, where she made 151 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 149.5, guiding North Zone to the final.
For MI, Sanskriti’s return aligns with the franchise’s trend of retaining their core group, following the earlier re-signings of Shabnim Ismail and Amelia Kerr.
Gujarat Giants opened the bidding for Prema Rawat at her base value of Rs 10 lakh and remained uncontested until RCB triggered their RTM. Gujarat briefly increased the bid to Rs 20 lakh, but RCB matched it, successfully bringing back Rawat, who also represented India A this year.
Among the players who went unsold were Humaira Kaazi, Amandeep Kaur, G Trisha, Jintimani Kalita, S Yashasri, Shipra Giri, Mamatha Madiwala, Khushi Bhatia, Prathyoosha Kumar, Nandini Kashyap, Happy Kumari, Nandini Sharma, Komalpreet Kour, Milly Illingworth, Shabnam Shakil, Prakashika Naik, Bharti Rawal, Priyanka Koushal, Parunika Sisodia and Jagravi Pawar.
