But Campbell, being more of a dasher, was not quite able to play the patient game for long. This is where experience comes to the fore, in testing times. Given the success that West Indies seamers hard, striking at regular intervals, Australia will be eager for quick dents themselves and end the day on a high. That might lead them into desperation mode and dish out some loose stuff. However, experience will tell them that a Test is not won in an hour. It needs patience and they just need to hang in there, hitting the right areas. On the other hand, West Indies have all the time in the world. With the pitch predicted to break open, they need to ensure that they bat only once and get a sizeable lead. First aim will be to go through the day without much damage.
