With the run rate climbing to nearly 9 per over, Tahlia McGrath delivered a crucial breakthrough for UP, and one wicket quickly led to another as both Wyatt-Hodge and Richa Ghosh departed in quick succession. This quick stutter saw Bengaluru further slip down to 158/5 with three run outs, but Ellyse Perry remained unfazed with the procession of wickets at the far end. She continued to keep the attack on and carved out 36 runs in the last three overs. Ellyse Perry remained ten runs short of her own century but will be extremely pleased for propelling her side well over a par total.

Perry appeared comfortable at the crease, while Danni Wyatt-Hodge initially struggled but steadily held her end. UP continued to restrict Bengaluru's scoring rate, but their bowling changes failed to yield timely wickets, allowing Wyatt-Hodge to settle in. Both batters then began attacking and stepped on the accelerator from either end during the middle overs. They constructed an impressive 94-run partnership that significantly boosted the scoring rate, with Bengaluru accumulating 79 runs between overs 7-15.

Both the sides had a decent start with the pacers finding some initial movement and spinners getting that variable bounce. UP kept the openers in check with Deepti dismissing Smriti very early in the inning and putting pressure straight on. Bengaluru could have potentially been two down had that catch of Danni Wyatt-Hodge not dropped in the second over. However, after losing one quick wicket, Perry counterpunched nicely, but still, UP managed to bowl a few tidy overs to prevent Bengaluru from racing away. They ended their Powerplay score at 42/1. 

A breathless first innings comes to an end. Bengaluru have managed to breach past the 170-run mark and might feel a bit comfortable, especially after losing one too many wickets in the backend. A gem of a knock from Ellyse Perry again, as she remained unbeaten and helped her team to post a challenging total.

Saima Thakor redeems and collects the ball and releases the throw towards Deepti at the bowler's end. Wareham is very late to respond to the call for a run and stutters. Deepti Sharma collects the ball and breaks the stumps. Wareham sacrifices her wicket to keep Perry on strike.

Also, Deepti Sharma has reviewed for an LBW, so it is a double review. The LBW is being checked first and the UltraEdges shows a flat line as the ball passes the bat. Ball Tracking comes up with the ball hitting the off stump on the umpire's call. Now, onto the stumping check. A very easy decision to make for the third umpire as Kanika Ahuja was miles outside the popping crease, when the stumps were dislodged by Uma Chetry. OUT!

Strategic Break. Bengaluru were meteoring away with the score with Perry and Danni Wyatt-Hodge stepping on the accelerator. The two bossed the mid-overs and smashed 79 runs in the phase of 7-15 overs, almost cruising at 10s an over. However, Tahlia McGrath provided a much-needed breakthrough at the right time, and now they have got the better of the dangerous Richa Ghosh as well. With only Ellyse Perry as the settled batter, she will have to stay till the end to get the team past 170. Kanika Ahuja joins Perry at number 5.

Goes through the shot and ends up slicing it up in the air, off the outer half of the bat. Ends up airing it over the point region, where Shweta Sehrawat circles under it and takes a fine catch. Tahlia McGrath manages to break this 94-run stand for the second wicket and Bengaluru are 117/2.
