(37) led the batting charts for Globe Trotters. Varun (4-68) and Sanjay Yadav (3-24) led the way for TI Cycles. In their second innings, TI Cycles were placed at 30 for 1.

Others to make a mark include left-arm spinners - DT Chandrasekar (5 for 28 for Jolly Rovers) and S Ajith Ram (5 for 30 for Vijay CC) while offie M Prabhu (5 for 45) did the star turn for India Pistons.

Chandrasekar wreaked havoc on AG's Office batsmen as Jolly Rovers restricted them to 146 in their first essay. In reply, Rovers were placed 111 for 5 with the experienced Kaushik Gandhi (35 batting) and Piyush Chawla (52 batting) in the middle.

Ajith Ram had CromBest in a spin as they folded up for just 102. Vijay CC, in reply, were comfortably placed at 130 for 2.

Prabhu, on the other hand, didn't put a foot wrong as he helped India Pistons bowl out UFCC (T Nagar) for just 109. India Pistons then reached 87 for 2 before bad light stopped play.

With the day's play closing ahead of schedule due to rains and a majority of wickets aiding spin, batsmen will have their task cut out as the second day commences on Thursday.
