CHENNAI: After rains made it a no-show on Day 3 of the Delhi-Vidarbha Ranji Trophy clash at the SSN Grounds , only 19 overs were possible on Friday - the final day.

Wet conditions delayed the start and Vidarbha, who commenced their second innings after Delhi declared on their overnight score of 250-8, were placed at 37 for 3 when rain intervened just before lunch.

The session saw Delhi medium-pacers Sumit Narwal (1-7), Navdeep Saini (1-22) and

Vikas Tokas

(1-7) trouble the Vidarbha batsmen from the word go.

Saini had opener Sanjay Ramaswamy (3), caught by Manan Sharma in the fourth over the day while No 3 Ganesh Satish (2) fell to Narwal and skipper Faiz Fazal (14, 1x4) was trapped leg-before by Tokas.

Siddhesh Wath (6 n.o.) and Shalabh Shrivastava (7 n.o., 1x4) added 11 runs in 4.3 overs when the rains arrived to conclude the first session early.

From there on, inclement weather conditions caused suspension of play and the match was finally called off at 2.45pm. Delhi, thanks to their first innings lead, pocketed 3 points from the match while their opponents had to settle with a solitary point.

Brief scores: Vidarbha 183 and 37 for 3 in 19 overs (Faiz Fazal 14; Narwal 1-7, Saini 1-22, Tokas 1-7). Delhi 250-8 decl.
