MUMBAI: Completing its task of appointments for the season, the

) Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC), headed by former India batsman Jatin Paranjape on Thursday named coaches for the Mumbai under-23 to under-14 teams for the 2021-22 season. The CIC also appointed the Mumbai women's coach for the senior and under-19 teams.

, Amil Velaskar as the under-19 coach, ex-pacer Sandeep Dahad takes charge of the under-16 boys, while Milind Tamhane has been retained as the Mumbai under-14 coach. Sandesh Kawle is the Mumbai women's senior team coach, while Ajay Kadam has taken charge of the under-19 side.

The 41-year-old Pawar, who took 281 wickets in 84 first-class games@30.07, besides scoring 1853 runs@18.90 while playing for Mumbai and then Baroda, has been the Mumbai under-19 coach and chief selector in the past. Velaskar, a surprise pick, has coached the Mumbai University team, while Dahad played 15 first-class games.

Paranjape and other members of the CIC — former India players Vinod Kambli and Nilesh Kulkarni —have already appointed selectors for the various age group teams. Domestic stalwart Amol Muzumdar was named as the head coach of the senior team, while ex-India pacer Salil Ankola retained the chief selector of the Mumbai senior and under-23 teams.
