Musheer Khan scripts 61-run win for Mumbai U-19s

MUMBAI: Leading by example, skipper Musheer Khan produced a fine allround performance, scoring 72 (90b, 5x4, 1x6) while opening the innings and taking 2-10 in 5 overs while opening the bowling, to script a 61-run win (via VJD method) for Mumbai over Maharashtra in the Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy (one-dayers) at Gurugram on Friday.


Brief scores: Mumbai 280-6 in 50 overs (Musheer Khan 72, Jash Ganiga 61, Nutran 56*, Ayush Jethwa 37) beat Maharashtra 114-6 in 27.1 overs (Arshin Kulkarni 51).

Patil to file nomination today
Former India batsman Sandeep Patil, the presidential candidate of the Sharad Pawar group, will be filing his nomination on Saturday.

“Our group members will file the nominations tomorrow at 2pm,” Patil told TOI.
