CHENNAI: Baba Aparajith's first century of the season was the highlight of Vijay CC's innings on the final day of their Elite TNCA first division clash against India Pistons on Thursday. Aparajith scored 128 off 234 balls. His innings contained 16 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from Aparajith, J Kousik too contributed with a 155-ball 82. Vijay CC finished on 305 in reply to India Pistons' 417 in the drawn clash.
For the bowling side, left-arm spinner Rajwinder Singh shone with figures of 6 for 56.

In Plate league clash that saw fortunes swing from one team to another, CromBest scripted a three-wicket win over TI Cycles. Chasing 93 on the final day, CromBest - who started on 12 for 3 - were kept in the hunt thanks to S Kishan Kumar and skipper Ankur Julka who scored 24 each. TI Cycles stayed in the match thanks to Varun Sood who led the bowling charts with figures of 4 for 42.
Jolly Rovers drew their match against UFCC (T Nagar) but not before taking a first-innings lead. In reply to UFCC's first innings score of 266, Jolly Rovers made 373 thanks to contributions from S Lokeshwar (108) and M Kaushik Gandhi (88). In their second essay, UFCC were 161 for 3 before the match was called off.
