MUMBAI: Prithvi Shaw has been called up as a late re placement for Hyderabad batsman Ambati Rayudu, who has picked up a knee injury, for the

, which will begin in Lucknow from Thursday.

The 17-year-old opener had slammed a hundred on first-class debut against Tamil Nadu in the Ranji semifinals at Rajkot last year, before scoring 71 & 44 in the final against Gujarat at Indore. During the India Under-19 team's recent tour of England, Shaw stroked three fifties in the youth 'tests,' before leading India to a 5-0 clean sweep in the One-dayers. Shaw, who was informed of his selection for the day/night tournament, which involves playing with the pink ball, only on Tuesday.

Nayar to lead Mumbai

Veteran all-rounder Abhishek Nayar will lead Mumbai in the Bapuna Cup in Nagpur. The team doesn't include quite a few regulars for various reasons.

The team will leave on Thursday, the opening day of the tournament, which includes Madhya Pradesh and two teams from Vidarbha.
